Flawless organization makes this bag my daily companion on adventures both mundane and exotic. Water bottle holders also perfectly accommodate an umbrella. My Kindle fits perfectly in the back for on the go reading. Mine has been literally around the world, and is perfect for cross body wear in crowded markets. Guidebooks also fit perfectly. Alas, it will not fit my iPad or it would be my only carry-on.

Durable, lightweight, not overly large, and with lots of pockets for lots of things! The outside side pockets are perfect for a water bottle and an umbrella, makes a crowded commute much easier. Gonna have to treat myself to that berry color, they didn't have any pink ones when I ordered mine. Keep up the great work!

I LOVE my Donner bag! It has two side pockets that hold my reusable water bottles (Klean Kanteen Klassic 27oz or smaller). Having this bag has allowed me to continue on my eco-friendly quest by holding all that I need daily including my water bottle. I have nothing but good things to say about this bag!

I bought my Donner bag about 4 years ago when I was planning a trip to Europe. It is the perfect day bag! The outside pocket allowed me to easily access maps, and the organizer section made it simple to find small things like pens and keys. There is a hidden, zippered pocket where I hide passports and money. Even though the bag folds down to almost nothing, the large inside pouch can hold a sweater, camera, and all the other little things you need for a long afternoon at the Seine. Another advantage is that this bag doesn't look like a purse, so my boyfriend takes turns carrying it. I recently ordered another one, so we have the option of taking two on cold days when we need to pack scarves and gloves. The best part of this bag is the bottle holders. I fit my water bottle in one side and umbrella in the other. I tried several day bags at REI and this was by far the best for holding drink bottles. I love my Donner bag!

There's a Radiohead song called "Everything In It's Right Place," and I think it was written for this bag. There is literally a pocket for everything. It's perfect. "The bag I always go back to"by Alicia (Stokesale, NC) I purchased a Donner bag about 3 years ago, and while I've occasionally switched to other purses for special occasions, my trusty Donner always calls me back. I write for a small newspaper, so I need to carry a camera, digital recorder, and decent-sized notepad pretty much all the time. That's in addition to the normal purse stuff (wallet, cell, keys, cosmetics, etc.). The Donner bag holds *everything* plus my water bottle and a small umbrella in the side pockets -- and it never feels bulky or unwieldy. I've hauled this thing literally coast to coast, and it still looks brand new. I have recommended this bag over and over to friends/coworkers, and I'm always happy to show it off to people who comment on it. I'm currently shopping for a new one, as I'm looking for a diff

Such a great bag! I love that I can carry my water bottle, planner, iPod, a book, pens, whatever, all in one bag. And it doesn't look too huge when it's full, either! The slip pocket inside the large zipper pouch is perfect for CCW, and I can still fit all the rest of my stuff in. Also, it's very comfortable worn cross-body. I liked it so much I bought another one in a different color!

I have been a customer for years, found the Donner Bag shortly after moving to CO at my first visit to REI 8 or so years ago...not sure of exact date of REI visit that's when I moved. I have bought many of these bags since then and have loved them all. The current design modifications are the best ever! All of the small cons of this bag are gone and its amazing. I love the water bottle holders, the elastic key holder, attached and now enclosed front flap. Just wanted to say way to go, I've had this latest design for about 6 months now and I think I have the best purse ever. Everyone compliments me on the utility and things I can do and carry that they can't. I'm fine with being a girl who buys purses at REI and such. Thanks for making my challenging life just a bit easier! Rock on!!!! Keep the Donner's coming, but keep most of the current version please!
